Okeechobee County Commissioner Bryan Culpepper, who claims to be a former paramedic is now backing off his story after facing “blowback” after spreading a debunked claim at an emergency public meeting that sticking a blow dryer up your nose and inhaling can kill the coronavirus.
In the video of the meeting, you’ll see the priceless reaction of the other commissioners as they heard Culpepper’s bold claim. Tiffany Collins, an administrator of the Florida Department of Health in Okeechobee, was also present at the emergency meeting and was quick to discredit Culpepper’s home remedy, commenting “There’s just a lot of misinformation on how to cure this disease and I personally would just leave that to your medical provider. I’ve heard so much just sad information about how to cure this virus.”
Once he was called out, Culpepper took to social media to apologize for his actions.
