The bad weather rolled across north Brevard from Canaveral Groves through Indialantic and Melbourne Beach shattering some windows, damaged cars and covered many streets with nearly 2 inches of ping pong ball-sized hail. Some windows were shattered in Indialantic and pool enclosures ripped apart in Cocoa. Meteorologists estimated up to 6 inches of rain had fallen by late afternoon. Wind gusts of up to 50 mph were also reported across the Space Coast.
