The residents of McComb, Mississippi have a new entry on their Christmas wish list...fix the city’s potholes. And, to show they mean business, they even decorated one of their potholes with a Christmas tree to cover it up.
John Drummond was inspired by a tv ad to put up the tree — made of a metal rod sitting inside of a traffic cone. The cone was put there by workers after they dug a hole in the street. Theone was supposed to be a deterrent to keep drivers out of the pothole. But, drivers still hit it and dragged it all over the neighborhood which. Once the tree was up, Drummond’s neighbors added red and gold tinsel, lights and other decorations to help folks see the cone better and emphasize the need to have this and several other potholes in their town fixed, and soon.
