An 89-year-old man in Ohio is far from retirement and works six days a week at McDonald’s.
Hugh Ruppertis such an impressive worker, he was just awarded McDonald’s Employee of the Year.
He says he wants to work until he’s 100 because he “didn’t want to sit in a rocking chair and waste away.”
Ruppert wakes up every morning at 3am without an alarm clock and heads to Mickey D’s for a shift from 7am to 2pm working in the lobby of the restaurant. And he has no plans to stop anytime soon, he wants to work until he’s 100. Why? He “didn’t want to sit in a rocking chair and waste away,” he explains. “I wanted to keep going.”
