SO cool!
Archaeologists believe items found along Daytona Beach Shores recently are likely remnants of a shipwreck from the 1800s. The group says the discovery was likely a merchant ship more than 80-feet long. The debris first showed up on the Volusia County beach a couple of weeks ago after part of the beach was washed away from Hurricane Nicole. Archaeologists are now trying to determine exactly when the ship was built and where it may have come from.
