A new survey of 450 girls between 10 and 17 years old reveals the most common stereotypes women and girls still deal with in their daily lives.
The top 10 stereotypes females face today:
- Females are more emotional and delicate than males
- Boys are stronger than girls
- Pink is a girls’ color and blue is a boy’s color
- Women are responsible for household chores and girls are expected to help
- Men are better drivers than women
- There are certain toys for girls and different toys for boys
- It’s okay for girls to cry, but not for boys
- Boys are braver than girls
- Soccer is a boys’ game
- Science is for boys, not girls
