Mondays - Homeschool P.E. Classes in many sports, including soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, and track & field, along with other traditional P.E. games. Monday – Friday: Morning Walk (All Ages). Would you like to stay active without worrying about the sun or the rain?  Come out and walk inside our gymnasium where you can stay cool and dry or you can enjoy the beautiful Florida sunshine by using the new walking trail at Brother’s Park.  Times: 8:30AM – 10:00AM. Monday and Wednesday: Bone Builders Program. Time:  8:30AM - 9:30AM. Ages:  Retirees & Senior Citizens. Bone Builders is a FREE strength training and health education program offered through Aging Matters in Brevard’s Retired and Senior Volunteer Program .  Participants lift weights to improve their bone and muscle strength while also working to better their balance.  Certified instructors will also discuss important topics related to bone health & nutrition. Wednesdays  - Adult Step Dance Class. Come out and learn the art of “Chicago-Style Stepping.” This elegant and smooth style of couples’ dancing is the fastest growing urban ballroom dance nationwide. August 16 - 5:30-6:30PM. Coffee with a Cop. Join us for a fun filled evening getting to know the City of Melbourne and City of Palm Bay Police that serve our community and build relationships with the officers. August 18 –  Huge Indoor Rummage Sale 8:00AM-1:00PM. Looking to find or sell great deals or unique treasures?  Rain or shine, the Eau Gallie Civic Center is hosting over 90 vendors and 15,000 square feet of opportunities.  Potential vendors for our sale may inquire about tables/space by calling (321) 608-7400. August 19 - The Brevard Symphony Orchestra invites music fans of all ages to "Sunday With The Symphony" from noon-5pm at Barnes & Noble in West Melbourne. Presented by the BSO in partnership with Barnes & Noble Booksellers, this fun, family-friendly event will feature live music, children's activities, ticket giveaways and interactive discussions. The event also marks the start of the BSO's annual book fair which raises money for the Orchestra's H.O.P.E. fund. Event is free to attend.

August 20 - UF Cooking Series (Ages: 12-17 years) This class teaches teens how to create great tasty nutritious meals on an inexpensive budget. Space is limited. There is a maximum of 12 teens per class. Times: 5PM – 6:15PM. Cost: FREE. Joseph N. Davis Community Center Melbourne. 608-7460.

August 24 - Back to School Dance. In partnership with Lipscomb St Baseball Association and Melbourne Hurricanes. August 25 - Play Melbourne and Melbourne Parks and Recreation are once again hosting their Touch-A-Truck event, along with a Kids Rummage Sale.The double-header event will be held at the Melbourne Auditorium, with vendors supplying various vehicles for kids to interact with. The Kids Rummage Sale is the other half of the day’s event, which will include items typically found in garage and yard sales, as well as handmade jewelry and other items. Events will be held at the Melbourne Auditorium from 9 a. m. to 1 p. m. The events are free of charge, along with a kid’s driving obstacle course, which is $1 per ride. 608-7265.
