May 1 – 13: In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, Brevard Schools Foundation is inviting the community to partner with them by helping to raise $5,000 to fund teacher grants up to $250 each. The grants would fund a critical need within K-12 classrooms in Brevard Public Schools. May 25 - Please join the Palm Bay Fire Department’s Benevolent and West Shore Jr./Sr. High School students to raise money for UCF RESTORES,  a center dedicated to the treatment of US military vets and local first responders helping with all facets of anxiety, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). May 29 - August 3: Cape Canaveral Culture and Leisure Services department will be hosting a summer day camp for children ages 6-10 years old. Summer camp will take place Registration is open to 50 children per week and only payment secures placement.  Operating hours are from 9:00am-3:00pm Monday through Friday. Before and after care are available for an additional fee. Costs are $50 per week for Cape Canaveral residents and $60 per week for non-residents. June 4 - Tickets and sponsorships are now available for the Brevard Schools Foundation’s 22nd Annual Golf Invitational Tournament presented by Title Sponsor Heard Construction.  The tournament takes place Monday, at Duran Golf Club in Viera and will introduce new interactive elements including a “Vegas style scramble.”  In addition, one lucky person will win $5,000. Tickets for the $5,000 drawing are $100 and the winner need not be present to win.  Only 200 drawing of chance tickets will be made available.  All proceeds from the drawing and tournament will benefit Brevard Public Schools’ teachers and students through the Foundation’s programs.
