April 12 -- Astronomy Night. 7:00pm - 9:00pm -- Titusville's American Space Museum Parking Lot. Learn how to use a telescope and discover the constellations. FREE and family friendly. Bring your telescope, if you have one; and, use ours.

April 13 - The Junior League of South Brevard, Inc. is excited to announce their annual Kids in the Kitchen event. April 13 - Zeta Phi Beta, Omega Omicron Zeta Brevard presents Bowling for Babies. All proceeds benefit March of Dimes from 4p-6:30p. Shore Lanes Palm Bay. 2 hours of bowling and shoe rental. $29 Adults/ $15 kids 12 and under.

April 16 - American Cancer Society here in Brevard County will be hosting Queens for the Cure; a Drag Show Benefit at the Twisted Rooster Bar, to raise money for a wonderful cause. Queens for the Cure will be a new local event featuring Drag Queens from the Space Coast area performing together and raising funds to benefit the ACS. From 6pm – 7:30pm , enjoy a Chance Auction, and enter to win prizes. All funds raised will be donated to the American Cancer Society to support Cancer Research and Patient Services.

April 17 - Painting with a Purpose Benefiting HART! 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Painting with a Twist in Cocoa Village. Come join us for an evening of fun, painting this beautiful work of art. You go home with your creation and HART receives 50% of the registration proceeds! Light refreshments will be provided. There will be great raffle prizes too! April 19 - The Summer of Space celebration continues in the City of Cape Canaveral with a free showing of First Man as part of its Spring Movie in the Park Series. Bring blankets and lawn chairs down to Canaveral City Park for an epic, under the stars presentation of a film commemorating an event so integral to Cape Canaveral history—mankind’s’ first steps on the Moon. Pre-show activities begin and 6:00 p.m. with the movie starting at 7:00 p.m. All ages are welcome to attend. PG13 rating. April 20 - Local inspirational author and motivational speaker, Ron Lewis of Palm Bay announces the debut of his mystery novel Missing Pieces. This is the first in a series of books that fuses Lewis’ E.I.E.I.O. message with dynamic stories. Ron will be donating the royalties from my first book Missing Pieces to Nana's House a home for neglected, abused, needy and abandoned children. April 27 - The Brevard County Pharmacy Association Team (The Incredible Curables) will be having a local cosmetologist, Lynn Joiner of Salon on Brevard, and her associate, Kathy at the Central Brevard Relay for Life in Cocoa Village from 1PM to 4PM to cut hair for hair donations to the Hair We Share Program. Hair We Share provides wigs free of charge to children under the age of 18 and to adults with financial hardship. Others are provided to head trauma, accident or burn victims and other types of medical hair loss. Appointments in 15 minute increments starting at 1PM. April 28 - Health & Wellness Expo. Time: 12PM – 4PM at Holiday Inn Melbourne, Viera. Free event. Open to the public. Showcase your business and network with other businesses and community partners with a day of seminars with panel speakers, tabletops and giveaways. Hear from three panel sessions.

April 28 - Authors for Authors to host its tenth annual writer event from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Hilton Rialto Melbourne. This conference is open to those who love to read books and those who enjoy writing them. All are welcome to spend the day with new and experienced authors to learn what's trending in the world of literature. Authors will learn how to write better, publish more, and market effectively to increase book sales. May 1 - Classes & Programs. 4H Gardening & Nutrition Club (Ages 5-18 years). 4-H is a life skills development program where youth learn leadership, citizenship, and teamwork skills through hands-on learning opportunities, events, and activities. May 2 - The 2019 Space Coast Prayer Breakfast, once again, provides an opportunity to join together for a time of county-wide prayer on the National Day of Prayer from 7:30am-9:30am. The event, which has sold-out its seating prior years, and now in its 7th year, and takes place again at the Hilton Rialto Place, Melbourne.

May 4 –“Get Down and Derby” with the Junior League of South Brevard, Inc. at its fourth annual Bourbon Ball at Rockledge Country Club. This Kentucky Derby-themed fundraiser supports JLSB’s community projects serving at-risk women and children in Brevard County. Community projects benefiting from Bourbon Ball proceeds include: Fueling Kids, Kids in the Kitchen and Girl POWER. VIP tickets are $100 per individual and include early access starting at 4:00 p.m., a Bourbon tasting, a raffle ticket, hors d’oeuvres, and VIP seating areas. There will be agencies with information and resources pertaining to blood glucose, high blood pressure, dental exams, and immunizations.
