July 13 - Cocoa Beach is holding an Astronaut Parade on Saturday in honor of The 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. The parade runs through downtown and will feature 13 former astronauts and family members of those who donned NASA spacesuits. The parade will take place 9:30 a.m. through 11:30 a.m. on July 13. The parade route starts at 4th Street North and proceeds down Orlando Avenue, ending at 1st Street South. The after party will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

July 13 - Join Keep Brevard Beautiful, a local nonprofit organization that strives to protect and sustain the environment, from 8 to 11:30 a.m. at Turkey Creek Kayak Cleanup at 4220 Dixie Hwy NE, Palm Bay. Kayaks provided by Paddling Paradise. Post event party at Hell ‘N Blazes Brewery with food provided by Meg O’ Malley’s. Those interested in participating are asked to RSVP at 321-631-0501.

July 20 - The Sharon Natale Memorial Gala at Dragon Fly Farms in Palm Bay from 6:00pm-10:00pm will be a Formal Event with networking cocktail hour followed by dinner, drinks, dancing, and silent auction items will be available to bid on. The Rockledge Mayor will MC the event. All proceeds from this event will benefit the American Cancer Society. Funds donated will be restricted to Ovarian Cancer Research. Sharon's actual wedding dress will be donated to an organization called Fallen Angels. Tickets to event will be 50$a person 100$ a couple and have to be pre-purchased through M&B Bridal, as seats are limited and the response has been overwhelming. Now - August 9: The Brevard County Parks and Recreation Department will be participating in the Summer Food Service Program. During summer vacation when school breakfasts and lunches are not available, nutritionally balanced meals will be provided to all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. All children 18 years old and younger are eligible for meals at no charge. Meals will be served on a first come first serve basis.

Now – 8/9/19 - Summer Camp Registration (Ages 6-11 years). Enjoy a safe, fun and interactive camp for the summer. Each week has a different theme with two field trips a week, bounce houses, water slides, arts & crafts and much more! Financial aid is available for City of Melbourne Residents that apply and are approved. We will be accepting a limited amount of Jr. Counselors for our ten-week summer camp. Cost: $139/Week. Eco-Explorers - Sea Turtle Conservancy and Brevard County’s Environmentally "Eco-Explorers" 2019 summer camps, where children make special connections with ocean to lagoon habitats and wildlife while sharing fun adventures on the water! Camps are offered each week in June 10-14, 17-21 or 24-28 from 9 am to 3 pm. Cost of $325 includes transportation, certified aquatic instructors, equipment, t-shirt, one year Sea Turtle Conservancy honorary e-membership, and a complimentary guided sea turtle walk!
