December 6 - Christmas in the Park. Time: 6:00PM – 9:00PM. Age: All Ages. Come out and join us for a fun filled night of caroling, live performances, refreshments, hayrides, games, crafts, and photos with Mr. & Mrs. Claus. Youth will be able to write letters to Santa. Local churches and schools are welcome to participate. Cost: Free. Lipscomb Community Center in Melbourne. 608-7450.

December 7 - 2pm “The Bible On Parade" Celebrates The Christ of Christmas for the 30th Year. The parade will begin at the Melbourne Auditorium. More than 45 churches and ministries unite to lift Jesus up. Costumed characters, floats, musical presentations and storytellers. There will be free pizza, cake and drinks, live music and presentations. After the outdoor event, the community is invited to “A Celebration Fellowship Buffet Dinner” inside the Melbourne Auditorium at 6pm. 773-1489. www.thebibleonparade.org.

December 20 - Top Bakers Showdown. Time: 6:00PM – 8:00PM. Age: Ages 6-17 years. Calling all bakers! Various Neighborhood Watch groups to compete at who will be the best baking group in the community, there will be holiday cookies given to youth and a trophy given to the best neighborhood group. On Going Events:

The Brevard Schools Foundation is collecting hygiene products during the month of October to benefit low-income and homeless students in Brevard Public Schools. All supplies collected will be put into the Supply Zone for Teachers’ new Hygiene Section, which is set to open mid-November. The public is invited to drop off hygiene donations at any of the ten public drop-off sites. The Supply Zone will continue to accept hygiene donations year-round at their facility, located within Clearlake Education Center in Cocoa. 617-7727

Mondays - Painting with a Friend. Time: 5:30PM – 6:30PM. Age: Ages 6-17 years. Come join us for a unique memorable experience and meet new friends and paint the night away. Monday – Friday: Morning Walk (All Ages). Would you like to stay active without worrying about the sun or the rain?  Come out and walk inside our gymnasium where you can stay cool and dry or you can enjoy the beautiful Florida sunshine by using the new walking trail at Brother’s Park.  Times: 8:30AM – 10:00AM.Cost:  FREE.  Joseph N. Wednesdays  - Adult Step Dance Class. Come out and learn the art of “Chicago-Style Stepping.” This elegant and smooth style of couples’ dancing is the fastest growing urban ballroom dance nationwide. No builder can say, “Lego my Lego”, join us for coding in a creative environment of creativity through following directions, eye hand coordination.
