New Movies in Theaters this Weekend

"The Space Between Us" (PG-13): After arriving to help colonize Mars, an astronaut dies while giving birth to the first human born on the red planet, Gardner Elliot. By the time he's 16, Gardner's  only met 14 people in his very unconventional upbringing but then he begins an online friendship with a street smart girl named Tulsa. When he finally gets a chance to go to Earth, Gardner is eager to experience all of the wonders he could only read about on Mars and spent time with Tulsa. Starring: Asa Butterfield, Britt Robertson.

"Rings" (R): A woman starts to worry about her boyfriend after he explores a dark subculture surrounding a mysterious videotape said to kill the watcher seven days after he has viewed it. She sacrifices herself to save her boyfriend and finds out there's a movie within the movie that no one's seen before. Starring: Johnny Galecki, Vincent D’onofrio.

"Lion" (PG-13):  Adapted from the non-fiction book `A Long Way Home` by Saroo Brierley, LION is about a five-year-old Indian boy who, after a wrong train takes him thousands of miles away from home and family, survives many challenges before being adopted by an Australian couple. Starring: Nicole Kidman, David Wenham, Dev Patel, Rooney Mara, Deepti Naval.
