Teenager Starts Healthy Candy Business And Becomes Millionaire

A 13-year-old girl has become a self-made millionaire after starting a healthy candy company. When Alina Morse was just seven, she asked her dad: "Why can’t we make a healthy lollipop that’s good for my teeth so that I can have candy, and it wouldn’t be bad for me?”

That question eventually lead to Alina starting her own company named Zollipop, which makes and sells lollipops that taste great and are good for your teeth. The candy contains erythritol, xylitol, and stevia, which are alternatives to sugar that also help reduce the risk of tooth decay and cavities. The tooth-friendly candy is sold at retailers across the country including Walmart, Kroger, and Whole Foods. On Amazon, the lollipops sell for anywhere between $6 and $17.

In addition the lollipops, the company also sells Zolli Drops and Zaffi Taffy in three flavors: strawberry, pineapple, and orange.

Zollipop has grown exponentially since selling its first lollipop in 2014, and this year is expected to earn $2 million in profits. Morse donates ten percent of the company's profits to various charities through the One Million Smiles Initiative.

Alina recently spoke with Bill Handel on KFI in Los Angeles about her journey of growing Zollipop into the multimillion-dollar company it has become today.
