Babcock Street-Palm Bay Road ranks No. 1 among Brevard County's top 10 high-crash intersections, based on annual averages from 2013–17. With 77 wrecks, it easily outpaces No. 2 and No. 3 on the list, U.S. 1 and Eau Gallie Boulevard in Melbourne (54 crashes) and Minton Road and Emerson Drive in Palm Bay (53 crashes). U.S. 192 between Wickham Road and Babcock Street in Melbourne-West Melbourne. The No. 2 crash corridor is North Courtenay Parkway from State Road 520 to State Road 528 on Merritt Island, clocking in at 179 crashes. Third on the list involves familiar culprits: Babcock Street from U.S. 192 to Palm Bay Road in Melbourne-Palm Bay, with 155 crashes.
