Monday – Friday: Morning Walk (All Ages). Would you like to stay active without worrying about the sun or the rain?  Come out and walk inside our gymnasium where you can stay cool and dry or you can enjoy the beautiful Florida sunshine by using the new walking trail at Brother’s Park.  Times: 8:30AM – 10:00AM.Cost:  FREE.  Joseph N. Wednesdays  - Adult Step Dance Class. Come out and learn the art of “Chicago-Style Stepping.” This elegant and smooth style of couples’ dancing is the fastest growing urban ballroom dance nationwide. Dec. 1 - The World AIDS Day Committee invites members of the Brevard community to join in a World AIDS Day Candlelight Vigil commemorating those who have lost their lives to HIV/AIDS and providing solidarity and support for those living with HIV disease. The event will begin at 5:45 pm at Eau Gallie Square in Melbourne.

December 1 - The Health First Palm Bay Hospital Holiday Light Parade, presented by the City of Palm Bay, is scheduled at 6:30 pm. The City will again be implementing some road closures this year to help ensure the safety of participants and spectators alike.  Beginning at 5:00 p.m. Malabar Road will be completely closed, in both directions, from San Filippo Drive to Minton, and Minton Road will be closed between Malabar and Jupiter Boulevard. The estimated time of the parade ending is 9:30 p.m.

December 1 - Join us at Titus Landing for the ringing in of the Christmas Holiday Season from 5:30 PM to 8PM. Enjoy holiday music, shopping, and the lighting of the Christmas Tree!

December 3, and December 10: UF Cooking Series. Time:   5PM – 6:15PM. Age: 12-17. This class teaches teens how to create great, tasty nutritious meals on a limited budget. Space is limited. Cost:  FREE. Joseph N. Davis Community Center, Melbourne. 608-7460.

December 4 - Boys & Cop Night Out. Time:   5:00PM – 6:00PM. Age: 6-18 years. A program encouraging young men to build a positive relationship with our local police officers through mentorship. Each month, youth will have the opportunity to ask officers questions about their roles as policemen. Refreshments and activities will be offered. Cost:  Free. December 7 - Toe-tapping tunes and holiday classics will ring in the season of cheer as Swingtime presents its popular Holiday Dance, beginning at 7 p.m at the Melbourne Auditorium. Dance tickets are $7 in advance at various outlets, or $10 at the door or online. Len Fallen and Sally Hart will be the featured vocalists.

December 7 - Christmas comes to Cape Canaveral with a special edition of their monthly Friday Fest event—Holiday in the City—on the corner of Taylor and Poinsetta Avenue. Festivities will begin at 6:00 p.m. with holiday performances by the Cape View Elementary Chorus and the Cocoa Beach High School String Ensemble. The event will feature dozens of retail vendors and local artists, selling an array of amazing gift ideas—jewelry, clothing, crafts and more!  With food trucks, bounce houses and festive photo booth featuring you-know-who, this event offers a little something for everyone. The Cape Canaveral Public Library will be hosting a free children’s craft activity in “Santa’s Workshop” and Canaveral Fire Rescue will be escorting our special guest from the North Pole for a meet and greet during the event. December 8 - Titusville Night Parade starting at 6pm on US 1 from Titusville High School through Historic Downtown.

December 12 and 13: There won’t be snow, but the Melbourne Municipal Band will still take audience members on a memorable “Sleigh Ride” with two holiday performances. The concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Melbourne Auditorium. There is no charge and tickets are not required. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Concert attendees are invited to bring a new toy (not gift wrapped), or a non-perishable food item, to be donated to the South Brevard Sharing Center. www.melbournemunicipalband.org

December 14 - Youth Holiday Shopping Bazaar. Time:   5:00PM – 6:00PM. Age: 5-13 years. All youth shoppers will have the opportunity to purchase items for family members for Christmas. Cost:  Free to attend (bring money to purchase items). Lipscomb Community Center, Melbourne. 608-7450.

December 15 - Port St. John Christmas Parade starting at 11am on Fay Blvd.

December 23 - The Adagio Sax Quartet returns for its annual holiday concert that puts the saxophone center stage, in a program of traditional Christmas carols and modern holiday tunes. The event will be held at 3:00 pm, at the Highland Ave. Fellowship Church, Melbourne. The concert is free. A $10 donation is suggested.

Dec. 31 - Swingtime – the 22-piece Big Band ensemble of the Melbourne Municipal Band – is again presenting an elegant New Year’s Eve celebration featuring dinner with a floor show, dancing to the sounds of a live band, and a midnight balloon drop. The New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner and Dance will be held at the Hilton Rialto Place in Melbourne.
