Britney Spears Evacuates Thousand Oaks Home Due To California Wildfires

Britney Spears is playing it safe. According to The Blast, the pop star is the latest celebrity driven to leave her home as a result of the deadly Woolsey wildfire spreading through Southern California.

Though the "Hold It Against Me" singer's house in Thousand Oaks appears to be outside the mandatory evacuation zone, sources told the celebrity tabloid that Spears decided to flee her 5-bedroom, 8-bathroom mansion on Tuesday (November 13). Among the property's opulent amenities includes a 3,800-bottle temperature-controlled wine cellar, tennis court, orchard, and a detached pool house.

Although the site suggests Spears' premature departure is only temporary, as she's reported to return home on Thursday (November 15), insiders claim she didn't want to take any chances.

Even so, Spears' decision was not without reason. Evidently, a flare-up transpired near her region earlier this week that caused her to act ahead. Several other neighbors in the "Work" star's community also opted to abandon their houses as well.

While fire crews continue to make headway in the SoCal area, the Woolsey Fire has destroyed more than 500 structures in the Malibu area alone — including houses belonging to Gerard Butler, Miley Cyrus, and Robin Thicke. As of late, three deaths have been reported.
