State Road 407 remained closed Thursday morning between State Road 528 and Interstate 95, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Authorities closed the highway Wednesday due to visibility issues caused by smoke from a 300-acre brush fire in Port St. John. Troopers also are monitoring visibility conditions on SR-50 and I-95. Motorists are urged to use caution in the area. A prescribed burn was conducted in that area Wednesday.
