For the first time in its history, Cocoa Police Department has a woman on its SWAT team. Officer Sayge Gray went through a strenuous series of physical and mental tests designed to measure her overall ability to do the job. Gray has been a patrol officer for CPD since 2017 and has been working as a police officer for three years. She will now join the tactical team of 14 other officers.
