Local Student Could WIN the 2019 Scripps National Spelling Bee Today!

Could it be a three-peat? Dhyana Mishra, the champion speller, competing at the 2019 Scripps National Spelling Bee hopes so.The 14-year-old from Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy in Melbourne again made it to the national bee. The finals for the 92nd annual competition air at 10 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. EST Thursday, May 30, on ESPN or online at espn.com/watch. The Scripps National Spelling Bee began with 565 students from across the U.S. and other countries. The winner receives $40,000, a trophy, a $2,500 savings bond from Merriam-Webster and $400 in reference works from Encyclopedia Britannica.
