Olivia Jade Flips Off Haters In Instagram Return After College Scam Fallout

Olivia Jade Giannulli has officially returned to Instagram after a six-month-long social media hiatus. The influencer daughter of Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli has shied away from the spotlight since news of her parents' alleged involvement in the college admissions scam was revealed. Quick refresher: the Fuller House actress and her fashion designer husband reportedly paid $500k worth of bribes in order to secure Olivia Jade and her older sister Bella a spot at USC. It seems like Olivia is ready to return her career as a social media influencer and she's not holding back this time.

Olivia surprised her followers on Sunday (Aug. 11) by returning to the social media app that helped launch her career as an influencer/vlogger. Prior to this post, the only other thing Olivia has shared on Instagram since news of the scandal broke was a birthday post for her mom. This post is much sassier than her initial, quiet return to the app.

The 19-year-old vlogger shared a photo of herself holding up both her middle fingers. She made it clear who the gesture was meant for in her caption, tagging a number of media outlets that have closely covered her parents' scandal and the subsequent fallout. She then adds the hashtag "close source says."

While Bella may attempt to resume her schooling at USC, Olivia reportedly wants to start rebuilding her business. She lost huge brand sponsorships in the scandal's aftermath, including partnerships with Sephora and TRESemmé, so it will be interesting to see what Olivia's next step is. While she works on repairing her brand, her parents are preparing for their upcoming legal battle. They face up to 40 years in prison for their alleged crimes.
