Thief Signs Stolen Credit Card Bills with the Word "Thief"

Mark Latimore of Butler, Pennsylvania, decided to use a stolen credit card to purchase items at two different stores and signing the credit card bills with the word “thief.”

Latimore stole the card from a woman who told police she gave him a ride. He allegedly used the card to purchase a $200 cellphone and $42 worth of beer and cigarettes, signing both credit card slips with “thief” and not his name or the cardholder’s name.

They identified him on video surveillance tapes from both stores. Officers further confirmed his identity when they called him on the phone he purchased with the stolen card. Latimore was charged with receiving stolen property and theft by deception.
