Lawsuit Filed Against Estate Of Jeffrey Epstein By An Accuser

Jeffrey Epstein Appears In Manhattan Federal Court On Sex Trafficking Charges

A woman is suing the estate of late financier Jeffrey Epstein over sexual abuse allegations.

The lawsuit filed in Manhattan federal court on Wednesday is on behalf of a woman identified as "Jane Doe."

Her claims of sexual abuse against Epstein were outlined in a federal indictment that led to the sex offender's arrest in July.

Epstein killed himself while in a New York Jail last month as he awaited trial for sex trafficking charges involving underage girls in New York and Palm Beach.

The suit claims the plaintiff suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety and depression as a result of the abuse that allegedly occurred between 2002 and 2005.

The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages.
