Brevard County's beaches are going to close from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday through Sunday as a way to reduce crowds and help prevent the potential spread of the coronavirus. The measure would apply to all beach areas within Brevard — ones in city and town limits, ones in unincorporated Brevard and ones near Patrick Air Force Base.
The beaches will be open Monday through Thursday with no restrictions.
