Mariah Carey, Ariana Grande & Jennifer Hudson Join Forces On 'Oh Santa!'

Christmas arrived a little early this year with the release of Mariah Carey's revamped Christmas single "Oh Santa!" featuring Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson.

As part of her Apple TV+ holiday special, Mariah Carey's Magical Christmas Special, which dropped on Friday (December 4), the undisputed Queen of Christmas recruited the powerhouse vocalists for the powerhouse duet and it is festive from beginning to end. In the accompany video for the track, which was originally released as a solo single in 2010, MC recruits Grande and Hudson for her holiday fantasy straight from Santa's busy workshop. Elsewhere in the clip, MC's children twins, Monroe and Moroccan, appear as background dancers, but the real highlight arrives when Carey and Grande end the track with harmonized whistle notes. You read that correctly. They harmonized with whistle notes.

"I wrote 'Oh Santa!' for my album Merry Christmas II You, which was sort of the follow-up to my first Christmas album -- we have several [Laughs] -- and so I think it was all about the actual event, of course, of doing 'Oh Santa!' with Jennifer and Ari, but it was also like, how do I see this as a producer?" Carey previously told Billboard of the new collaboration. "How do I see these vocals having different textures, what are they? Because originally, I was blending with myself, which that's kind of one of my favorite things, but it was cool to be able to work with the different vocal textures and play around with it and reimagine it. So that's what happened. And visually, in the special, it really does feel like a girl group moment. I think we all had a good time with it. That was the fun part about it."

If you want more holiday cheer from the pop titan, make sure you catch Carey's the new Apple TV+ special, which features additional appearances from Snoop Dogg, Tiffany Haddish, Billy Eichner, Jermaine Dupri, Misty Copeland and Mykal-Michelle Harris.
