Misty Campbell - Director of Development of Crosswinds Youth Services, Inc.

Misty Campbell is a Florida native (born in Rockledge and grew up in Cocoa). She has been employed with Crosswinds Youth Services for over 20 years in various positions. Currently, she is the Director of Development. She is the mother of two successful sons – Chris and Myron Campbell. Misty received her B.A. from USF, in Mass Communications, and her M.A. in Management and Leadership from Webster University.

Crosswinds began in the 1970’s with a group of concerned community leaders who came together to discuss how Brevard County, Florida could respond to the increasing number of runaway and homeless youth in the community. The tragic results of not helping these young people had become apparent when several graves were unearthed in the county. These graves contained the bodies of children who had run away from home and had been murdered. Crosswinds is committed to providing quality services and has been recognized nationally, regionally, statewide and locally.

The 23rd Annual Virtual Great Brevard Duck Race will livestream on Saturday, March 27th, at 3:30 pm on Space Coast Daily TV (spacecoastdaily.com). The Duck Race is a major fundraiser for Crosswinds Youth Services. The goal is to make big splash by getting 10,0000 or more ducks adopted! Ducks can be adopted online at www.greatbrevardduckrace.com or at various bank locations throughout Brevard for a donation of $5. 9 luck winners will be randomly selected to win great prizes – including the Grand Prize, a 2021 Honda Civic, free 2 year lease, courtesy of Space Coast Honda! You can find a complete list of prizes at www.greatbrevardduckrace.com

All proceeds from the event help support Crosswinds’ to provide shelter, food, emergency services, counseling and other support for hundreds of children, youth and families, in crisis in our community.

Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are available. For more information, please contact Misty Campbell at mistycampbell@crosswindsyouthservices.org or call at 321-452-0800.
