Governor Ron DeSantis is defending his decision to send 50 migrants on charter flights from Florida to Massachusetts. He says he had no choice, thanks to President Biden's failed immigration policies leaving our borders an open, free-for-all.
"Biden has dumped people all over the fruited plain in the middle of the night with zero notice. There are small towns that are getting inundated with people, " DeSantis said.
The governor adds he's glad this issue is getting the attention it deserves because it may lead to beefed up border protection.
DeSantis faces several lawsuits over his relocation plan, the latest from State Senator Jason Pizzo of Miami who wants to block him from using taxpayer dollars on the flights. DeSantis says there is a provision in the state budget allocating money for transportation and flights.
