Here is a list of places to observe 9/11 on the Space Coast.
Locally: Patriots Day Ceremony: From 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Center on Merritt Island.
Honoring Military and First Responders: Breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Hidden Post on Main Street in Titusville.
Space Coast Remembers: From 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Avenue Viera.
Third annual Memorial Stair Climb: Begins at 6 p.m. on Saturday at Cocoa High School’s football stadium. Participants will climb flights of stairs at the Cocoa High School football stadium symbolizing the stairs firefighters climbed at the World Trade Center to rescue citizens. Also includes a pipes-and-drums ceremony, national anthem, moment of silence, flag raising, food, and DJ. Admission is free and participation is optional.
