According to a new survey, the average American will spend about $165.14 on Thanksgiving this year. $67.59 of that amount will going towards travel expenses, with $97.55 going towards other expenses. Overall, $2.98 billion will be spent in the U.S. on Thanksgiving dinner, with 52 million turkeys expected to be consumed, at an average cost of $1.20 per pound.
