Florida Senators push to extend Daylight Saving Time into next year.

Florida U.S. Senators Marco Rubio and Rick Scott introduced a bill Wednesday that would keep the United States in Daylight Saving Time through November 7th, 2021.

"Our government has asked a lot of the American people over the past seven months and keeping the nation on Daylight Saving Time is just one small step we can take to help ease the burden," Senator Rubio said.

Floridians are set to 'fall back' in six weeks and then 'spring forward' in March.

"More daylight in the after school hours is critical to helping families and children endure this challenging school year."

Rubio supports a year-round Daylight Saving Time but he's urging his colleagues to- at the very least- work with him to avoid changing the clocks this fall.
