LIST: Tips For Hosting Your New Year's Eve Party On Zoom!

Here are some tips on how to make your celebration of 2020 finally ending the best it can be via Zoom.

  • Set A Dress Code & Theme. Last year, roaring ‘20s themes were all the rage, and maybe we jinxed ourselves because of it. If you’re setting a theme this year, pick something your guests are really going to enjoy. Depending on your friends, that could mean a classy masquerade or a pajama party.
  • Decorate Your Backdrop.Just because you’re not having people over doesn’t mean you shouldn’t decorate. Make sure your portion of the Zoom call screen is decked out to fit the theme. And if you don’t feel like splurging, take advantage of the green screen function, and have your perfect background pics ready to go.
  • Virtual Ball Drop.Is it even New Year’s Eve if you don’t watch a ball slowly drop? Make sure you’ve figured out how to screen share the traditional New Year's ball drop, which has alsogone digital, or figure out your own way to countdown. And make sure all your guests have something to sip on before it strikes midnight.
