Leslie Castillo - American Cancer Society
Leslie Castillo is a Director of Philanthropy for the American Cancer Society, where she dedicates her time to building key community relationships to help fund the mission of the Society, helping save lives from cancer. She has been with the American Cancer Society for a little over eight years as an employee and over twelve years as a volunteer. She served as a Volunteer Lead Trainer on a National level for the organization, visiting many states and sharing her passion for Relay For Life. Including Relay for Life in Brevard and the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Brevard Walk.
Leslie has been a resident of Florida for over 27-years.She moved here from Rincon, Puerto Rico after graduating from Interamericana University of San German, where she studied business management. Her husband of 22-years, Juan Solis, is a Master Aircraft Technician for NASCAR Aviation. Together they have a beautiful 15 year old daughter, Sofía Isabel.
Leslie serves on the Board of Directors for the Junior League of Daytona Beach as the Community Director, focusing on Human Trafficking and their local Diaper Bank. Leslie is a Past President of the Society for Human Resource Managers and past member of the Board of Directors for the Volusia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Her passion for volunteerism is what led her to voluntarily leave a 17-year corporate career with the staffing industry and join the non-profit sector.
