Brevard County is asking people to apply for financial aid through its Emergency Rental Assistance Program. The county received over $18 million for the program from the federal government, but only $710,000 in grants have been approved. This Program provides financial aid to households for rent, utilities and home energy costs, and other expenses related to housing.
Applications are available online at http://www.brevardfl.gov/HumanServices. Paper applications are available at all Brevard County public libraries and the Brevard County Housing and Human Services office in Building B of the Brevard County Government Center, 2725 Judge Fran Jamieson Way in Viera.
Completed applications can be dropped off at any county library or at the Housing and Human Services office. They also can be emailed or completed online directly.
