ST. PETERSBURG -- Police have arrested an 18-year-old man on charges that he vandalized the Pride mural at the Central Ave. and 25th Street roundabout back on May 22nd.
Police say Christian Maier did "doughnuts" with his car in a way to leave tire marks across the mural and doing significant damage. He faces a felony charge of criminal mischief as well as street racing.
The mural was restored in time for the city's Pride Month festivities.
