(Miami, FL) - Today is primary election day and already more than 200-thousand ballots have been cast in Miami Dade County by mail and through early and same day voting.

Supervisor of Elections Christina White reminds voters that the election process is secure. White says, "The best way to allay election integrity concerns is transparency." And she invites voters and candidates to participate in the election process.

In fact, the Miami Dade State Attorney's Voter Protection Task Force is in place to ensure that voting sites remain free of any illegal activity.

"Anyone who suspects improper or irregular activities at voting sites is urged to call the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office Voter Protection Hotline at 305-547-3300." according to Katherine Fernandez Rundle. "My office and our law enforcement community are committed to making sure that our election is trouble-free."

White also says in-person voting today should be quick and easy and the polls close at 7pm in both Dade and Broward.

If you would like to renew your request to vote by mail in the November General Election, you must request a ballot from the Miami-Dade Supervisor of Elections website.
