Chrissy Teigen posted a selfie to social media revealing why she missed the Met Gala on Monday (May 6) and followers were immediately concerned. The 38-year-old entertainment icon shared a snap of herself wearing a neck brace and joked that it was a Met Gala look.
"@ the Met" the caption read. Fans and followers were quick to miss the humor and respond with concern. The stunning mother-of-four hasn't attended Met Gala since 2017 and (per Page Six) felt "stupid" for sparking health concerns amid the excitement of the extravagant annual event. Not long after posting the neck brace photo, Teigan returned to social media to remedy concern and share why she was wearing the brace in the first place.
âEverybody is reaching out. Itâs just a CVS neck band, and I just canât rotate my neck because I tried to do a headstand and it didnât go well at all. Thereâs no story. I promise, thatâs it.â
Despite her absence from the event this year, Teigen is no stranger serving looks at the Met Gala. Page Six mentioned that the star made her debut in 2011 with husband John Legend and in 2018, chose to stay home to watch âVanderpump Rules" instead. That same month, Teigen conceived her son Miles and has since given birth to daughter Esti, and son Wren.
