A Spirit Airlines plane had just landed at Orlando International Airport when an alligator was spotted on the tarmac. Anthony Velardi caught the gator on video walking into a nearby pond off the tarmac. The flight was delayed five minutes before it could make its way to the gate, while officials made sure the alligator stayed put. An airport spokeswoman says that alligator sightings are pretty infrequent on the tarmac, even though 200 acres of Orlando International’s land is covered in water.
