The $1.8 million Babcock Street project is rebuilding the weather-beaten roadway from Hibiscus Boulevard northward to the Florida East Coast Railway tracks. The Melbourne City Council and Brevard County Commission are teaming up on the undertaking, which kicked off in September with stormwater pipe and water line repairs.
Signs will detour traffic along NASA and Apollo boulevards.
