Shannon Kraeling, a ceramics teacher at Eau Gallie High School, was named the 2019 Brevard County Teacher of the Year. Kraeling has been teaching in Brevard for 13 years. She was chosen from a pool of more 4,500 teachers county-wide and more than 80 finalists, selected for their work to make "lasting impacts in the lives of students each day," said Janice Kershaw, president and CEO of Brevard Schools Foundation.
