Congrats!! Dhyana Mishra from Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy in Melbourne advanced to the National Spelling Bee after winning regionals yesterday in Orlando.
She competed against students from school districts across the state. This will be her third time competing at nationals. She also competed on the national stage as a fifth-grader and a seventh-grader.
The Scripps National Spelling Bee will take place May 27-30 in Maryland. The winner will receive $40,000 in cash, a trophy, a $2,500 savings bond from Merriam-Webster and $400 in reference works from Encyclopedia Britannica.
