Today marks three years since a gunman murdered 49 people, injured 53 others and traumatized hundreds more at Pulse nightclub in Orlando.Survivors, victims' relatives, first responders and residents will gather today for a series of events to celebrate the lives of those who died in the mass shooting.
At least two people with Brevard County links were counted among the dead. Antonio Brown, a decorated Army soldier from Port St. John and Luis Daniel Wilson-Leon – a former Rockledge resident were killed. Bells will be tolled 49 times, beginning at noon, to commemorate the lives of each person who died in the shooting. In Brevard, the Twisted Rooster Bar in West Melbourne, along with SpaceCoast Pride is holding a ceremony at 7 p.m.
