The woman convicted of one of Palm Bay’s most notable homicides has been moved from state prison to a community release facility as she prepares to be released from custody in October. A television docu-series will be airing details of the slaying.
Betty Jo Fowler was convicted in the slaying of her sister-in-law, Theresa Fowler, and was sentenced to 12 years in state prison. The story was retold in the true-crime series "Twisted Sisters" on the Investigation Discovery Channel. The show has re-aired this week and can be found on-demand. Portions of the show were filmed in Palm Bay in May 2019.
