The Brevard County deputy who was shot three times on June 4, 2019, has returned to work, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Paul Phillips was shot during a gun battle with a man involved in a neighborhood dispute about feral cats.
Deputy Phillips also spent 14 years serving in the U.S. Army.
“Please join me in welcoming Deputy Phillips back to full duty and in thanking him for putting his life on the line every day to protect our community,” Sheriff Wayne Ivey said.
