Public schools will remain closed longer than originally planned. Education officials announced yesterday that public schools across the state will remain closed until May 4th. The schools were originally closed until April 15th. Most schools started distance learning this week.
Following recommendations from the Florida Department of Education, the Florida Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Brevard Public Schools announced late Monday that schools will be closed until at least May 4th.
