There are also plans for Ron Jon Surf Shop to reopen Wednesday but no details were immediately available on their adjusted hours, which will be put into place to sanitize the store. Ron Jon Surf Shop will also be asking customers to follow social distancing guidelines.
The Melbourne Square Mall has announced plans to open Friday with limited hours. The mall will be open between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
To mark the reopening, the mall will be offering free to-go lunches at the food court for first responders, health care workers and teachers between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Certain guidelines will be in place once the mall reopens:
Practice social distancing and stay at least 6 feet (2 meters) from other people.
Covering your mouth and nose with a cloth face cover is recommended.
Do not gather in groups.
Adhere to each individual tenant’s COVID-19 policies.
Adhere to all federal, state and local regulations, recommendations and mandates regarding COVID-19.
Mall officials also said common areas of the mall will be sanitized frequently throughout the day and that hand sanitizer stations will be posted throughout the building.
