In an apparent real-life Romeo and Juliet, police are searching for a young couple. Family members of Brian Sanchez (a missing runaway juvenile from Miami Dade Police Department’s jurisdiction) called Ana Florez-Chang (the mother of runaway juvenile Leilani Sanchez out of Broward County) to discuss the whereabouts of their children. Brian and Leilani are boyfriend and girlfriend. The investigation has determined that Brian left his residence in Miami Dade driving his father's 2016 silver Honda Odyssey (bearing FL tag ETX-F36) in the early hours of this morning. He then came to Pembroke Pines where it is believed that he picked up Leilani at 3 a.m.
Leilani is a 13-year-old Hispanic juvenile female, who is 5’4” and weighs 110 pounds. The Honda Odyssey that Brian and Leilani are driving is equipped with a Sunpass transponder. Toll information has shown that the last area the Sunpass went through a toll was Leesburg, Northwest of Orlando. Due to Brian and Leilani’s age, as well as their destination being unknown, there is cause for concern for both juveniles.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Pembroke Pines Police Department at 954-431-2200 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
