Governor Ron DeSantis is proposing a way to reward teachers for their actions and hard work during the pandemic. DeSantis yesterday proposed giving one thousand dollar bonuses to full-time pre-K-through-12 public school classroom teachers. School principals would also benefit, and DeSantiis says the bonuses will amount to over 200 million dollars.
