After a 35-year career in the U.S. Navy, Gina Harden of Satellite Beach will swim the English Channel.
In 1982, she became only the seventh female diver in U.S. Navy history and at one time was Officer in Charge of U.S. Naval Forces Central Command Forward Headquarters in Afghanistan.
Gina is scheduled to attempt the 21-mile swim next week sometime between July 17 – July 21. It has taken two years to prepare for the swim and if all goes well, she plans to be in the water for about 15 hours.
