BREVARD: Consolidating schools to help school district's budget issues?

Brevard County Schools is considering plans to help the district's budget issues. Two board members have brought up the possibility of consolidating small schools. School Board Chair Misty Belford says Brevard has about 20 more schools than Seminole County for the same number of students. Each facility costs about one-million dollars to operate per year. The district says no official talks have started and hopes they never do.
